Smoky Keto BBQ Sauce
It's smoky, it's tangy, it's a little sweet - and yes, it's keto! This keto BBQ sauce is easy to whip up at home and perfect on top of grilled chicken breast or wings.
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/8 tsp cayenne (or more to taste)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tbsp liquid smoke
- 2 tbsp powdered erythritol
Heat the olive oil in a small pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for about 4 minutes until tender.
Add the remainder of the ingredients, being sure to stir well when adding the powdered erythritol. Simmer on the stove for about 20 minutes. Enjoy!
This recipe makes approximately 16 tbsp of BBQ sauce. For the purposes of the nutrition analysis, assume a serving = 2 tbsp.
