Tortilla chips have always been present on my table whenever I’ve had a gathering with friends and family. But as I turned to a keto diet and lifestyle, I had to find an alternative that would suit me – I present to you my ‘yummy’ keto tortilla chips! Honestly, these carb-free tortilla chips taste like heaven!

I’m a huge fan of low carb tortilla chips. Not only are they incredibly tasty, but also a great alternative if you’re a health-conscious person like me who enjoys snacking now and then. I started making low-carb chips at the beginning of my keto journey when I was looking to create a personalized keto meal plan.

After sharing them with my husband Jeff, I began to serve the keto-friendly tortilla chips whenever I would receive new and returning visitors. Next thing you know, my keto friendly chips are a success with everyone!

Are tortilla chips keto?

If you make your own, yes! Store-bought tortilla chips are traditionally made with flour, which has a lot of carbs. But switching to almond flour can drastically reduce the carbs, making tortilla chips keto-friendly.

How to make keto chips?

Make these almond flour tortilla chips with the help of my super easy keto tortilla chips recipe. It’s so easy that it’ll be done in just 15 minutes! Can it get any better? Here’s how to make them.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almond flour, blanched
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ¼ tsp Sea salt
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ⅓ Garlic powder
  • ⅓ Cumin
  • ⅛ tsp Black pepper

Step by step tortilla chips recipe instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 356 Fahrenheit/ 180 Celsius.
  2. Place a baking sheet on a baking tray.
  3. Pour the almond into a large bowl and add the seasonings.
  4. Melt the cheese in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the cheese into the bowl of flour and mix well until it’s fully blended.
  6. Place the dough on a surface and separate them into 2 balls. Starting with the first ball, roll out the dough until you get a thin paste. Cut it into triangles and place them on the baking sheet. Make sure you spread them out to keep them from touching. Repeat the same thing with the second ball.
  7. Bake the chips for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let them cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before serving.
