Sugar-Free Pecan Pie – Homemade Keto Recipe
This keto pecan pie is a sugar-free dessert perfect for any occasion. Not only is it very easy to make, but it is practically carb-free and contains less than three grams of net carbs. Since traditional pecan pies contain maple syrup, I decided to create a recipe that fits in perfectly with your keto diet. If you are new to this diet and a low carb life, be sure to take a look at our guide, Keto Diet Plan and Advice for Beginners.
If you are on a keto diet, then you already know that you have to reduce your carb intake. But it can be challenging to avoid the macronutrient, especially during festive seasons. This delicious sugar-free, low carb pecan pie recipe has the taste and texture of traditional pecan pie without all that carbs and maple syrup. Here’s how you can make your own low carb pecan pie the keto way.
As a lover of pecan pie, I have been working on perfecting my keto pecan pie recipe for some time now, as it is one of my favorite desserts. It’s something I would order any time I had the chance, as I’ve always loved the richness and butteriness of the pie. When I started my keto diet, I had to find ways to enjoy some of my favorite desserts without consuming large quantities of carbs.
How To Make Keto Pecan Pie
Ingredients For Filing
- Almond flour pie crust
- ¾ cup of unsalted butter
- ½ cup of BochaSweet
- ½ cup of swerving brown erythritol sweetener
- 2 teaspoon spoons of maple extract or keto maple syrup or vanilla syrup
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ cup chopped and whole pecans
Keto Pecan Pie Recipe Instructions
- Prepare a pie crust using my recipe and bake it for 10 or 12 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit (162 Celsius). Then remove it and allow it to cool as you prepare the fillings.
- Melt the sweeteners and butter in a large saucepan. Ensure that it is done over low heat. Keep stirring the mixture until the sweeteners dissolve. Remove the mixture from heat and whisk in the sea salt and maple syrup.
- Don’t allow the syrup to get too hot, then whisk in the 2 eggs.
- Now place the pecans on the cooled crust and pour the fillings on top. Place the pecan pie in the oven and bake for about 45 to 55 minutes or until the filling sets, but the middle still jiggles a bit.
- If the crust starts to get brown too quickly, cover the pecan pie with aluminum foil. Allow the shiny side to be up. When the pie is fully baked, allow it to cool completely before serving.
