You don't need me to tell you that adding frosting to your keto desserts will help it reach another dimension. But if you’re going to do so, you should make sure that you have a healthy icing that won’t mess up your diet. Here’s what you need to know.
What can I use instead of sugar for frosting?
While traditional frosting isn’t keto, you can still enjoy it by replicating your favorite frosting flavors and using keto-friendly ingredients instead. As a lover of cupcakes, particularly chocolate cupcakes, I struggled with dessert at the beginning of my keto journey as I had developed a true love for all things sweet. So you can only imagine the joy I felt when I began to experiment with my recipes to make everything keto-friendly.

- ½ cup cocoa powder

How to Store Keto Frosting?
You can store your leftover frosting in an airtight container in the fridge. I will keep for 3 to 4 days. If you know you will need it for longer, another option is to freeze it. You can freeze your keto cake frosting for up to 2 months by putting the paste in the freezer 24 hours after first making it.
