Ingredients
- 2 cup Almond flour
- ¼ cup Sweetener
- ¼ tsp Fine sea salt
- ⅓ cup Butter, melted
- 1 Egg, large
How to make an almond pie crust
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 C).
- In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, sweetener, and sea salt and mix well. Then add the butter and an egg, and stir well until you get a smooth texture.
- Your dough should be dry, so make sure you work on it until you have no flour left.
- Cover your dough with plastic wrap and let it sit in the fridge for an hour.
- After removing the dough from the fridge, place it on a clean surface and work on it a bit more. Afterwards, roll it out using a rolling pin until you get your desired thickness.
- Grease your pie dish and transfer the dough into it. Then flute the edges (if you wish) to make sure your pan is fully covered. Using a fork, carefully poke holes in the dough – it will keep it from filling with air.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
- Enjoy your low-carb pie crust!
