How to make an almond pie crust

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, sweetener, and sea salt and mix well. Then add the butter and an egg, and stir well until you get a smooth texture.
  3. Your dough should be dry, so make sure you work on it until you have no flour left.
  4. Cover your dough with plastic wrap and let it sit in the fridge for an hour.
  5. After removing the dough from the fridge, place it on a clean surface and work on it a bit more. Afterwards, roll it out using a rolling pin until you get your desired thickness.
  6. Grease your pie dish and transfer the dough into it. Then flute the edges (if you wish) to make sure your pan is fully covered. Using a fork, carefully poke holes in the dough – it will keep it from filling with air.
  7. Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
  8. Enjoy your low-carb pie crust!
