Keto Caramel Syrup Recipe – Sugar-Free

I absolutely love caramel syrup – it makes everything taste better if you ask me. I have been a fan of sweet syrup since I was a child, and – trust me, I’ve had lots of it. But it wasn’t until I got into adulthood that I realized the impact it was having on my health.
When I first started the keto diet, I decided to look for ways to alter recipes of some of my favorite foods, one being caramel syrup. After doing some research, I finally came up with a recipe that I loved just as much as a traditional caramel syrup.
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, salted
- 3 tbsp allulose, plain
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
How to make sugar-free syrup – Step by step instructions
- Melt the butter and allulose in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted and it begins to bubble, stir it regularly for 4-5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Simmer for 5-6 minutes and steer gently until the mixture begins to thicken.
- Remove from the heat, add the vanilla extract and whisk until blended.
