The only downside with almond flour is that it contains inflammatory fats. Although the flour contains beneficial fatty acids, it is high in a particular fatty acid called Omega 6. Too many of these Omega 6 fats can lead to inflammation in the body.
It is rare to have too many of the Omega 6 fats when eating raw almonds, but it is easy to consume larger quantities when using almond flour.
